Hall of Fame Awards

The Hall of Fame Awards were established in 2001 by the Manchester Arts Council. Dr. Francis Helfrick was instrumental in his quest to honor local individuals for their dedication to, advocacy for, and achievement in, the arts of this community. The Arts Council disbanded in 2003 and the Manchester Arts Commission continued the tradition. Honorees are placed in the following categories: Music, Drama, Dance, Education, Literature, Visual Arts, Volunteer, and Arts in Business and Community ( the ABC Award ).

Guidelines for nominations include longevity in the arts ( past or ongoing ), outstanding contributions in any field of artistic expression that have inspired, entertained, or educated others or benefitted our community. Patrons and Volunteers as well as artists are eligible.
